The 1080 used to be a max-cushioned trainer only capable of doing relaxed, easy or recovery runs. The 1080v15 has evolved into a versatile daily trainer that makes it easy to pick up the pace. V15 has a much more energetic ride than any previous 1080. 

The Mach X 3 is a great training companion to the HOKA Rocket X 3 because it has a similar ride but in a cheaper, more durable package. Add in the Bondi 9 or the Clifton 10 and you have a great HOKA 3-shoe rotation.

The ASICS Kayano 32 is one of the best traditional stability trainers currently on the market. It provides enough support and stability without being overbearing or uncomfortable.

The Adidas Adizero Adios Pro 4 is a major upgrade from its predecessors—softer, smoother, and more comfortable. Its standout feature is its ultra-lightweight build, boosting both comfort and running efficiency. While it's one of the softest racing shoes available, it may lack the stability some runners need. The outsole has also been improved with a lighter, more durable, and grippier material than before.
